For example, I've spend over half a day (maybe due to lack of google skills?!) trying to find the PS3 Blu-Ray type power connector. You can help me out by finding the (type) name of the connector (It looks like a floppy "berg" type connector but it isn't..).
Hi Mr Wicked. These guys might be able to help:

This seems quite cheap: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/blu-ray-dvd-drive-power-cable-for-For-PS3-KES-410A-Flex-Ribbon-Cable/939551255.html
ReplyDeleteLooks like JST 04ZR-3H-P. Not sure, though.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's easier to source 150 cables @ $0.7 a piece?

Get some quotations and let's see how much they're asking for 150 pieces:

I wasn't able to find anything useful and they only mentioned something not that useful:

That resembles one of the older "Molex" connectors. Although the socket isn't standard, the wire color code sequence appears to be the same.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reply guys, although those cables are a good idea (maybe a bit to short, as it needs to travel in the length of the enclosure). I would still need a male connector. I'll contact those suppliers to see if they know what type it is.
ReplyDeleteI have been using your sacd_extract.exe for a while now and I noticed some inconsistent behaviours re. handling of output paths. Where should I post these observations?
ReplyDeleteHi, any news on the progress?
ReplyDeleteTks.
